Having a Community Supported Agriculture program is very important to us and is the Heartbeat of the Farm. This is a great paradigm that ensures the future of the small farm while feeding the surrounding community the most nutritious and freshest food possible. It is a truly unique and personal relationship between the farmer and the people we grow for. Joining a CSA is one of the best ways to feed your passion for healthy, delicious, nutritious foods, and support local farmers and sustainable agriculture at the same time!
The CSA member pays an annual fee for a weekly basket of the farms bounty from Spring to Fall. It is the best way to know exactly where your food comes from, how it is grown, and the people who grow it. The farmers and CSA members get to know each other and become friends sharing the ups and downs of the growing season. Relationships blossom, Communities grow and become stronger, and fresh, delicious food is enjoyed throughout the season!
Our CSA program will be 25 weeks of fresh produce for the 2013 growing season which will start the first of May and finish up mid-November. Each week our CSA members will receive a share of our freshest, seasonal, highest quality produce, grown by us and will be delivered to the pick-up location in Nashville and Hendersonville. We will post a weekly farm newsletter at deltasunfarm.com also include recipe suggestions.
